of camps
As a family-run camp, we understand how hard it is to find quality programs for our children during the holidays. That’s what KCA is for – when kids are supported, encouraged, and cared for by their teachers and their peers, their confidence grows, their curiosity is nurtured, their enthusiasm shows no bounds, and their potential soars. For more information about what our typical daily schedule is like click here: Typical Daily Schedule. *Please note that this schedule is only an example. The activities and English themes change weekly.

Full Immersion English Language Camps for Kids
Our English day camps are perfect for children aged 5 – 12, at all levels of comprehension – from complete beginner to native speaker. We are currently offering our English Day Camps in Mainz and Wiesbaden. Every year we welcome hundreds of campers from all over the world who play, sing songs, create art and perform drama – all day and all in English. We are a family-run camp and that’s why we’ve designed them to be as flexible as possible. You can book one week at a time, or for the entire holiday. You can book just the mornings, just the afternoons, or all day, or with extended hours early and late. You can book with peace of mind knowing that your child is at one of our camps, being cared for by professionals, learning, playing, and living English.
Each morning, our professional staff of native English speakers guides our campers through a fun curriculum of cooperative group games and hands-on projects, all focused on a daily theme with an emphasis on using vocabulary in each theme. In the afternoons, children participate in a variety of exciting camp activities led by our creative and energetic personnel. When your child joins KCA they join a team of open-minded people from a diverse range of nations and cultures. They will be sure to forge lifelong friendships by the time they leave. We’ve built all our camps so that each child can reach their full potential. We are confident that our campers will have the experience of a lifetime and return home not only with improved linguistic skills, but also unforgettable memories.

KCA is based on the belief that the fastest, most effective way to learn any language is to be completely immersed in it. Most everyone has traveled to a new country and experienced the enormous progress they make when immersed in a new language. At KCA our kids don’t just learn English; they live it.
Yes! KCA is not an English school. It is modeled after an American/ English Day Camp and allows kids from all over the world — who love speaking English, miss speaking English, or just want to meet English speaking friends — to do just that. Our camp is active, instructional, safe, and most important — fun for everyone.
Yes. Our program is play and project based and our goal is to make the English language fun and easily understandable. Our staff is trained in working with English language learners and use scientifically proven educational strategies.
With our ratio of one group leader to eight children, each child gets the support and encouragement they need to thrive at our camp. KCA is always active, instructional, safe, and fun and “beginner” children make the MOST progress when immersed in English at our camp.
Yes! KCA offers a full-day program from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Campers can also join for just the English morning sessions: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (with lunch included). or just the afternoon activities from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm (after lunch). For busy parents we also offer extended care from 8:00 – 9:00 am or 5:00 – 6:00 pm.
A While groups sizes vary from camp to camp KCA always keeps a ratio of 1 group leader to 8 campers.
At KCA we don’t learn English; we live it. This is why our camps are attractive to native speakers and learners alike: we play, sing songs, do sports, create art, and perform drama — all day, all in English. We believe this is the most natural way to learn any language. There are no workbooks or grammar sheets at KCA. There is interaction, cooperative group games, projects and activities.
Morning English lessons are thoroughly planned so that children at all levels of English comprehension will enjoy them. These lessons are planned by certified English as a Second Language teachers and are play and project based. Learners absorb new English grammar and vocabulary by being immersed in the program while native speakers simply enjoy the cooperative games and team based projects we engage our campers in.
Yes! A hot meal is included in the price of each session. If your child has specific dietary needs, please detail them on the application form.
